The Draft regulations on MOAH (mineral oil aromatic hydrocarbons) are expected to become legally binding from 2026, with limits largely based on the 2022 SCOPAFF report. While LC-GC-FID is a well-known technique for MOAH analysis, it faces challenges with interfered samples, resulting in higher LOQs and uncertainty close to the limits. Our advanced GCxGC-FID method overcomes these challenges, providing clearer separation of interferences and more reliable quantification, supporting compliance with upcoming regulations.
